The Pictorial Stories for Children is a series of volumes meant to introduce the great characters and stories in the Indian tradition. This volume of the series covers colourfully illustrated stories of (1) Bhagavannama Bodhendra, (2) Offering to the Guru (guru dakshina of Koutsa), (3) The Greatness of Rama’s Name, (4) God Bestows Bliss Only, (5) Indra and Prahlada, (6) Chandesvara Nayanar, (7) The Dhruva Grass Used For Ganesha Worship (destruction of Kubera’s pride) and (8) Sage Pushpadanta.

These stories are the English rendering of the original Tamil version serialised in Sri Ramakrishna Vijayam, the Tamil monthly of the Ramakrishna Order.
